LODGING: General Suggestions from Past Participants
(see below for specific lodging recommendations)

Begin your search early
- Start early and explore several options.
- Book early, ask about kitchen facility, ability to prepare meals.
- Read reviews on reputable websites.

Suggestions re: type of accommodation
- Rent a home; share if possible; negotiate rent.
- Network with other participants to stay in a house.
- Book a cottage or a B&B.
- I loved being in a cottage and being able to cook; it gave flexibility for meals.

Suggestions about location of lodging
- Stay close to the seminar location.
- Being situated in Eastham provides quick access to seminar in morning and lots of options in the area and great beach choices- bay or ocean side.
- Get a place on the bike trail.
- We were not sure where everything was located prior to coming. In the future, we would get closer to the beach.
- Everything is easy to navigate if you have a car; there are lots of great selections.
- Research the distance from the lodging to location of training as there may be a number of lodgings at a variety of costs within close proximity.
Note: See comments below regarding locations outside of Eastham.
COTTAGES IN EASTHAM
Hopper Realty
- Cottage was in great location, central to everything.

- I rented a condo from Meadow Marsh- beautiful, comfortable, and well-equipped.
- I rented a Bracket Landing Condo from Meadow Marsh - very satisfied. Financially it seems the best value and it's nice to have the kitchen.
- Rented a cottage on Massoit Lane. It's been great! House is very nicely equipped, homey.
- Cottage was on Governer Prence Rd. It was excellent.
Peters Relty
- I rented a cottage on Samoset. Close to the conference, under the trees, breezy.

Raveis Realty

HomeAway.com
- 215 Claire Lane -- I was satisfied and would recommend it.
- 720 State Hwy - Comfortable, affordable, sleeps six, two minutes away.
- Rented a house on Pilgrim’s Path, 4 bedroom, spacious, and a short walk to the beach. Close to conference also.
Sandpiper Cottages
-
This was great - 200 sq. ft. cottage with a porch. On Route 6, across from Nauset Beach. Cheap, easy, bike trail and beach accessible. Doggie friendly.
Other
-
We rented on Hoyt Rd from an individual. Not clean, bathroom leaked. Recommend going through a realtor!

OUTSIDE OF EASTHAM
- I rented a 1 bedroom cottage in Harwich; it was advertised in New York Catholic. I was very satisfied.
- I stayed at Captain Bearse's B&B in YarmouthPort. Very nice place, but too far from the conference.
- I stayed at Ocean's Edge in Brewster. Very relaxing, lovely location, great amenities, but a bit of a drive.
- Consider Provincetown: We were one block from the water, had a beautiful condo with full kitchen for less than last year's motel.  It allowed walking to shops and food instead of driving, which was very restful. There was a little traffic on the way back from the seminar, but otherwise it was perfect

MOTELS/HOTELS
Ocean Park Inn
- It was adequate, clean.
- Great staff, clean, and you get to use the Sheraton's facilities.
- There are probably more comfortable, cleaner places in the area.
4 Points Sheraton
- It was very comfortable and close to the training and to shopping.
- The air conditioning was poor and it wasn't as clean as I'd like. But very nice front desk people.
Eagle Wing Motel
- Very clean, welcoming convenient.
- I felt very relaxed and safe and I was only one mile from the seminar. Very clean. Male owner can be somewhat irritable; wife was extremely helpful. Room nice size; microwave use in office; fridge in room.
- Clean, but rigid and too many rules.
- I found my accommodations to be immaculately clean. A back deck and patio set allows for breakfast outdoors; the motel provides a continental breakfast. The in-ground pool is clean and well-maintained. Adults only, no pets. Quiet and well-supervised by the on-site owners.
Midway Motel
- Very nice, friendly, and convenient. Very reasonably priced.
- The staff was so nice. The rooms were very clean and it was nice to have easy access to the bike trail.
- Very comfortable.
- No pool, no laundry, but the cabin is great and the service is excellent.
Captain Quarters
- I stayed there last time and it was awful!
- Excellent hospitality. Simple and clean. Outdoor pool, complimentary breakfast, free wi-fi access.
- The location was great and the room was nice and clean.

CAMPING
- We stayed at Atlantic Oaks Campground in Eastham. I was very satisfied and would recommend it!
- Atlantic Oaks Campground was clean, quiet and on the bike trail. No pool, however.

B&Bs
Bed & Breakfast Cape Cod is an excellent resource, provides personalized service. Just ask what to expect from the host. (Properties vary in what they provide in terms of breakfast, towels, etc.)
- I rented from Bed & Breakfast Cape Cod (#11) - very comfortable and private.
Inn at the Oaks
- Nice, close to the conference and right across from the National Seashore.
- I'd definitely recommend it. I chose it because it's child-friendly and very accommodating of my toddler.
- I was very satisfied! I'd recommend it to others!
- Great location, beautiful building, clean and friendly environment. Staying at the B&B was a great experience for me.
Penny Inn
- Lovely and convenient.
Fort Hill
