Ahoy mateys! Teach communication and social skills with this therapy game that includes two levels of play: Junior version for Kindergarten - 3rd grade and Regular version for 4th grade and up. The exciting treasure theme and specially minted coins attract children to the game and keep players interested and involved. Players interact as they voice opinions, share feelings, express appreciation for others and resolve problems.
School counselors: This therapeutic game is engaging and fun, and helps children grasp what it means to be a good member of a team, whether it's a class, a group of friends, or a sports team. A reproducible Code of Conduct gives kids guidelines that help them to be valuable members of the group. The Advanced Play booklet introduces a more challenging level of play that helps students develop conversational and leadership skills.
Child and family therapists: You can play this therapy game one-on-one with a child client, then have the child help introduce it to other family members. It fosters family discussions that are often surprising and always enlightening. It's also an excellent way to teach families how to have family meetings. It comes with reproducible materials for the parents to use at home. They can easily take notes during the family meeting, then bring the notes back to the therapist for further discussion.
Includes two levels of play: Regular (pictured) and Junior (not pictured).
Treasure Time therapy game: $55 (Amazon price: $49 --save $6!)
